There are so many websites out there with duplicate tourist information it is sometimes very hard to find out what really exists in a destination and what is it really like and how it will suit your family so we have written down a little bit of information here to assist you and guide you to the perfect Cairns Beach location.
Clifton Beach has a major shopping centre that houses well-known brands like Coles and Target Country and also has all the other essential shops and services like a butcher, bakery, chemist, bank, post office, optometrist, doctors, take-away food outlets and much more. This centre services Ellis Beach, Palm Cove, Kewarra Beach and Trinity Beach.
Machans Beach is not really so much of a tourist destination apart from the luxury and quaint holiday houses that are located on Redden Island just off Marshall Street. Whilst there are about half a dozen or so the guests here can wander down the street to choose from the two restaurants that service the locals and tourists alike and join in at the local sports club bar functions and the full moon parties.
Palm Cove is a hot spot for visitors that travel to Cairns and Tropical North Queensland. It’s a very much luxury beach destination that is much loved by overseas guests for its typical Queensland laid back style but with world class resorts, family accommodation and a high standard of restaurants with fabulous local cuisine to choose from.
Swimming in the warm tropical waters with the gentle waves gives you peace of mind when you have young children as you can be sure they will not be tossed around and taken out to sea on rips and things. We always recommend you swim between the flags all year round and also observe the directions given by the surf life savers.
Trinity Beach is very much like Palm Cove just a little smaller but still offering that quaint charm and high quality holiday accommodation and a great variety of restaurants and dining facilities. Trinity Beach also has a great public bus service and you can hire a car here or pick one up from the airport. Like Clifton Beach Trinity Beach has a very good variety of essential service and shops like the delicatessen to pick up those special items for a long lunch.
