Trinity Beach Dining

Trinity Beach dining is especially popular with locals and tourists alike as this little beach enclave offers a wide range of dining options for the hungry holiday maker.

Lunico on the esplanade is quite a popular place to sit and relax on the deck in the afternoon with some friends for a dink of two and maybe some slices of pizza or move to a more formal table and experience some good Italian food inside the restaurant.

The Trinity Beach sit down and take away food store on the esplanade is also very popular for breakfast lunch and dinner for the more simple casual meal option or next door try the Bangkok Rose Thai Asian fusion restaurant that has stood the test of time on the esplanade.

On top of the Trinity Beach hill sits the new Trinity Beach Tavern which has indoor and outdoor dining and magnificent views overlooking the beaches and Coral Sea. Great bistro style with an entertainment area to keep the children amused as well as a play room for the adults that like a pull on the pokies.

The Trinity Beach Tavern also provides a courtesy coach service from varying beachside suburbs so its patrons do not drink and drive. A very popular destination indeed and the views are superb. Just make sure they do not sacrifice your steak too much or overdress the salad.

Blue Moon Grill Trinity Beach is a real big favorite with all the locals for all types of get togethers and celebrations. Matt and crew are sure to make you welcome and part of the team and we can ensure you are in for an evening of fun if you bring your sense of humour along.

Matt openly admits to stealing the most popular recipes from other restaurants and then adding his personal twist along with "Faulty Towers" styled service and Aussie humour to ensure you laugh your way thru the evening. We give this place the thumbs up for great food great company.

Trinity Beach has a great delicatessen for you to buy your imported and exotic foods and a bakery for fresh bread for those evenings when you just want to pick at a few items and not go out or have to cook in your holiday apartment.

New restaurants are popping up in the Trinity Beach Blue Lagoon complex and one of those is Sea Salt which we are yet to try.

Trinity Beach restaurants will have you out dining every single night of your Cairns holiday.

Kewarra Beach Dining

Closed - Kewarra Beach has a great little beach shack right on the sand on the beach in front of the Kewarra Beach Resort that offers an a la carte menu from the resort along with frozen daiquiris and an extensive selection of top quality wines and spirits.

Sit under a rattan roof and gaze out across the ocean thru the swaying palms.

No need to bring your shoes along for dinner here. This Kewarra beach shack is a popular destination for locals on balmy evenings as well as on a Sunday when entertainment is normally provided.

Kewarra Beach has a small strip of shops that has a bottle shop, fish n chip and burger take away store and there is a pizza and fast food store with wok style meals next door to the mini IGA supermarket.

Clifton Beach Dining

Clifton Beach dining options are a little bit more sparse but what is on offer is a great little pizza restaurant that does pasta and pizza dine in and take away and next door is a German-Swiss style restaurant with all the European beers open for lunch and dinner. Both of these restaurants are located at the Clifton Village Shopping Centre where there is also a Cole's supermarket, butcher, and bread shop, tourist information centre called The Tour Specialists, a chemist and other food stores.

Clifton Capers located close to the beach is another great little find as they cook a mean snitzel and other German specialties. Clifton Capers is also a favorite with the locals as they make great take away pizzas as well and I must confess we are guilty of ordering them every now and again and again. Their menu is a la carte and if you have any special requests Marty is sure to oblige. Kids are welcome and they provide indoor outdoor dining.

The petrol station at Clifton Beach shopping village has the best fish and chips in Australia according to Karl Stefanovic from Channel Nines morning program and also a lot of their viewers who signed up for the on line poll to give it their thumbs up as well. The Clifton Beach Fish and Chip shop is also a favorite with the locals and they sure make a mean Barramundi burger.

Fairways Restaurant can be claimed by Clifton Beach and Kewarra Beach as their own as it is half way between the both located inside the Paradise Palms Country Club and Golf Club.

This is a great family restaurant as it has the best ever outdoor facilities for children such as a giant air pillow for them to expend some energy on, cubby houses, putt putt golf, swimming pool, climbing frames and so much space for them to run around in and wear themselves out. They even have an indoor area for computer games. A big thumbs up on this one as the service and food is just as good as the beautiful environment.

On Friday and Saturday nights the kids order their meal and then run off to the face painter or the disc jockey for some grooven so you are free to engage in some grown up talk in their absence.

The grounds are all lit up at night so they are free to run and jump for miles. Ha ha that means sleepy kids when they get home. Good menu, good wine and great babysitters they just need to add a courtesy service and they will get all the business from the Cairns Northern Beaches hotels, resorts and holiday homes.

Thala Beach Lodge is the last of the northern beaches destinations to dine at before you get to Port Douglas. Imagine sitting at a table with views of 110 kilometers of beachfront over the tops of the trees in an aptly named restaurant called Ospreys.

Well say no more.

When you come to the entrance of Thala Lodge you are suddenly in awe of the timber construction and the sweeping staircase leading you to the restaurant in the trees.

Once you get to the dining room it's all over once you see the views and feel the ambience, you will not want to leave. Book a room at Thala Beach Lodge

Yorkeys Knob Dining

Yorkeys Knob probably has the second largest and one of the most popular dining outlets in the Cairns Northern Beaches. The Yorkeys Knob Boat Club has a fantastic indoor outdoor over the water dining and entertainment deck with children’s play area and weekly entertainment which is especially popular on the Friday and Saturday nights and Sunday afternoons.

The restaurant called Driftaways is open seven days a week for lunch and dinner along with breakfast on the deck under the sails on a lazy Sunday morning.

The Yorkeys Knob Boat Club also has poker machines to entertain the older folk looking for a bit of a gamble along with a meat tray raffle which is a great Aussie tradition. Yorkeys Knob Boat Club even offer a free courtesy pick up and drop off service for you from all of the northern beaches suburbs holiday accommodation if you would like to partake in a few little drinkies.

Sit here and admire the ocean and surrounding mountains whilst casting your eyes over the multi-million dollar vessels sitting on the yacht club moorings. Sounds like a good afternoon in Yorkeys Knob to me.

The Yorkeys Knob Golf Club also offers bistro style meals for the whole family daily up to 5pm along with Breakfast on Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday from 7am. A la Carte Lunch Sunday to Friday 12 midday to 2pm and dinner Friday and Saturday evenings from 6-9pm.

Yorkeys Knob Golf Club is also a great 18 hole golf course for you and your friends to have a hit and giggle and admire the beachfront scenery but whatever you do just don’t go wandering into the lakes you might get a big surprise.

Yorkeys Knob has a variety of dine in cafes and coffee shops on the main strip and on the beachfront esplanade. A bottle shop is also located on the main strip along with a mini supermarket where you can buy roast chickens, cold meats and vegetables along with the normal specialties.

Holloway’s Beach Dining

Holloway’s Beach has quite a varied selection of dining options from take away pizza shops to an absolute on the sand mod oz cuisine restaurant that has the occasional entertainment and a semi on the sand take away burger and fries shop that also does some great salads and sandwiches, ice creams, chips and lollies to suit the younger ones or the adult looking for that chocolate fix.

Holloway’s beach also has a bottle shop and mini mart for those cheese and biscuit afternoons in the sun. Holloway’s Beach Sunday Markets often have lots of home grown and baked goodies to choose from as well and you can visit them on the beachfront on the second Sunday of each month 8am to 1pm. All of the dining options in Holloway’s Beach are within walking distance of all the holiday homes, self-contained apartments and bed and breakfast accommodation houses.
