Half Moon Bay Resort is located at the beachside community of Yorkey’s Knob perfectly positioned between Cairns City, Cairns International airport and the seaside destination village of Palm Cove. From Half Moon Bay Resort it is an easy 10 minute walk to the beach, convenience shops and many mouthwatering restaurants in the area including the Star Apple Restaurant which is directly across the road at the Golf Club. The Half Moon Bay Golf Course is directly across the street and is a par 70 18-hole course that overlooks the Coral Sea. The Yorkey’s Knob Boat Club that offers weekend live entertainment, fabulous cocktails, family meals, Poker Machines for the gamblers and a view of some of the regions most luxurious yachts and private charter vessels is a 10 minute walk just down the road; a free shuttle service from Yorkey’s Knob Boat Club can be arranged.

The self contained apartments at Half Moon Bay Resort offer the convenience and comfort that is desired while on family or romantic holidays. Poolside rooms feature uninterrupted pool views, fully self contained kitchens and a separate double bedroom with ensuite. Tropical Garden Rooms face the abundant parklands home to many native Australian birdlife and unique plant species. All rooms have private laundry facilities, spacious private balconies and can sleep a maximum of four guests.

Guests staying at Half Moon Bay resort can make use of the immaculate free-form salt water swimming pool, invigorating cool spa and surrounding pool deck. The onsite BBQ (barbeque) area is always kept tidy and is a great alternative to cooking inside, or eating out every night.

Half Moon Bay Resort is a great accommodation option if you are after a quiet Cairns Beaches location close to the city and the beaches. Half Moon Bay Golf Club

Situated beside the Coral Sea, the Half Moon Bay Golf Club is framed by mountains, marina, beach and island views, and the clubhouse is directly across the road from the Resort.
The 18 hole 5129 metre par 70 golf course has an interesting mix of holes and is a challenge for the competent golfer whilst not being intimidating for the social golfer.
The well stocked Pro Shop is open daily for all your golf needs. Lessons with PGA Golf Pro are available.
Relax and enjoy a drink and snack at the Club House after your game of golf.

Location

Half Moon Bay Resort is centrally located, only a 15 minute drive to Cairns City, a 10 minute drive to Cairns Airport and a 5 minute drive to the nearest shopping center at Smithfield Village. Yorkey’s Knobs has a beach, golf course, yacht club, restaurants and convenience shops; a laid back location in a tropical environment.
